Thought of the Day – You Keep Them For Yourself?

by Senator Brett

There’s just something about the television show “Hoarders.” I don’t know if you’ve seen it or not, but basically it’s a tragic series that examines the sad lives of sad people who live in filth and squalor because of their refusal to throw things away and keep everything they lay their hands to in their even sadder homes.

But… there’s just something about that show. I have the complete series… every single one of them. I am compelled to buy them and cannot stop. It’s fun to watch those poor bastards that have no sense of self-control. It’s sad, really! 🙂

Have a good one, people. And remember… it’s not the sudden stop at the end that gets you… it’s the 1,592 porcelain cat figurines scattered around your house and the fifteen real cats you pretend to love that get you in the end.

Your Friendly Senator

I guess the best term to describe me is "Tex-Mex... at its best and worst!" I am a native Houstonian who loves all things "sports", Spanish red wines, cooking, hoppy beers, women with low standards, way too much television, watching movies on rainy days and using the term "the cat's pajamas" even when it doesn't make much sense. www.senatorbrett.wordpress.com

  1. Thank you for visiting the Wedding Rating Game http://www.weddingratinggame.co.uk/. We’re a brand new site (1 week old), very much in our infancy. I really need some beautiful photographs of real weddings, civil partnerships, engagements and anniversaries. Will you keep me in mind? I have real prizes on offer and a prize draw for the first 30 who contribute to the site.

Thanks for the helpful hint about the need to allow people to follow the blog on the site itself. I will look into this. So far, I have been posting blog articles on wordpress and announcing on Facebook and twitter.

  2. Dear Senator Brett

Wow – thank you. I’ve seen the photographs on your site. They are beautiful. I’d love to feature your weddings on the site – with a clear link to your websites etc.

Do you have photographs of real weddings or are they photo shoots of models? If it is a real wedding, I would love the couple to provide a little paragraph talking about their day and stating who their providers were. I’d also have to get them to confirm that every person in each photograph is happy for their image to appear on the site.
If it is a wedding shoot, I’d love you to give me a few lines about your work and I’d feature it, either on the blog or on the other pages.

I should say that, one week into our big wedding site venture, we have decided to change our name. We will be called “Weddings Now and Then”. I like it better and really wish I’d never listened to the very bossy person who convinced me that Wedding Rating Game was quirky and more memorable. I might lie low over the next few days whilst I make the necessary changes to the site and then try to make a bit of a splash over the weekend.

I just can’t thank you enough for your offer to help.

    Agnes xxx
