Something in The Middle of Nothing (Excerpt from “My Little Book of Essays”)

I wrote this when I was nineteen, or twenty. I forget. Anyway, I worked at The Galleria in Houston in retail sales at a now defunct clothing store. For those of you that have never been there, The Galleria has an ice rink on the bottom level, located amidst the stores and restaurants that line Floor One, it serves as not only a tourist attraction, but also a serious training facility. After the normal ice rink hours are over the rink is reserved for “personal” training. And, it’s not scrubs that skate there at that time… medaled Olympians have skated there. Continue reading

TOTD – Parental Discretion is Advised?!

Okay, look… I know… I know… I need to develop a different sense of humor. For some reason, no matter what I try, my mind always leads to the sophomoric and low-brow. It’s where my brain lives, apparently. I promise to TRY to come up with clever and funny things that are wholesome and good, and I promise that I have been trying… it’s just not working out very well. At all. ­čÖé

Also, I think I will start posting videos in these entries with songs that are kinda blowing me away at the moment, or that I stumbled across and love, or… just songs that I have always loved and think that you should listen to because I said so. So it is written, so shall it be.┬á

And since I’ve been┬álargely┬áabsent┬áthese last few weeks I am going to give you two TOTD’s. I know… I know… I am a giver! It’s just that what I am giving is usually not something people are interested in… like Chia Pets… or Libertarians. ­čÖé

TOTD – Alone Much?

I hope you all realize that unless I point out otherwise… all the circumstances mentioned in the TOTD’s are made up just so I can get to the random thought in my head. Most of these instances did not happen, but the idea makes more sense when I put it into a practical situation. I would never be this mean… probably… unless whiskey was involved.
