Thought of the Day – Your Voice is Larger Than Your Thought Process?!
by Senator Brett
Today I went to my great-nephew’s Pop Warner football game. Since he is six-years-old this means that the game featured a lot of missed tackles, a little whining, a great deal more confusion and a couple of kids who knew what they were doing out there. However, here’s what I learned today:
1. Pop Warner coaches like to yell a lot and are, for the most part, pretty obnoxious.
2. People who wear Bluetooth devices in their ears at all times are pretty obnoxious.
3. If you are a Pop Warner coach who wears a Bluetooth device at all times you are double pretty obnoxious.
The game ended up being pretty good, with Landon’s team winning 27-7. After what I feel like is a fair and non-biased assessment of his play on the field I can honestly say that he takes after me in a lot of ways… because what he does in football is what I do in my own personal life… we run around in circles wondering what we are doing and if we are supposed to hit someone.
Have a great weekend, everyone. And remember, as always… it’s not the sudden stop at the end of it all that gets you… it’s the five little kids hanging onto your legs that eventually bring you down!
