Thought of the Day – Spare Change Equals One Ticket?!
by Senator Brett
Is it just me, or does anyone else think that homeless people could get more creative with their panhandling? I mean, I think it’d be great if homeless people went to the mall with a bunch of raffle tickets and stood next to the escalators with a sign that read, “Ticket for escalator: $.10 cents!”… and just see who pays them. Then, when some asshole goes, “Hey, if you’re homeless how did you afford the raffle tickets?!” they can shoot back with, “From all the money I made off the elevator ride!”
This only works in two-story malls… but, let’s be honest, if your mall only has one story you have a lot more problems than just homelessness. 🙂
And, FYI… if homeless people were at the beginning of escalators, or at elevators, A LOT more people would take the stairs. Trust me, a lot… which might help with our obesity problem. So many people would think, “Homeless people?! Social issues?! No, thank you! I’ll take the stairs to Cinnabon!”
Also, why not employ the homeless to be restroom attendants in malls? I know what you’re thinking… that maybe they are not hygienic enough. But, let’s be honest, I’d settle for homeless restroom attendants if it meant some people would be reminded to wash their hands properly… or at all! You know who you are…
Have a great one, folks. Go Team USA! (This only applies to my Olympics friends… the rest of you are not on Team USA!) 🙂
